We have important changes coming to our Drive-Up program.
Starting on January 1st, our Drive-Up program will switch to once-a-month visits and will require appointments.
This was not a decision that we made lightly. As the number of people using our Drive Up program has grown, we have had increasing concerns related to traffic, safety, and capacity. It was a months-long process to discuss and decide upon necessary changes to our Drive-Up program. After careful consideration of our resources – including our staff, volunteers, and food – we have decided to make this change.
We will continue to offer food six days a week, without appointments, through our Today’s Harvest program. Shoppers at Today’s Harvest are able to select from a variety of products each day.
Today’s Harvest will be open Monday to Friday from 12:00pm to 6:00pm and Saturdays from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Our Today’s Harvest markets are located at 8264 4th Street North, Oakdale, MN and 1740 Van Dyke Street, Maplewood, MN.
What does this mean for me and my family?
We will continue to offer Drive Up services each week, but starting on January 1st, households can use the program once per month, instead of weekly.
In order to use our Drive-Up program, you will need to make an appointment. Appointments can be made at opencupboard.org/appointment. You will first need to create an account and provide your household’s information, similar to our intake process. Afterwards, you will be able to see appointments that we have available. You simply select which date and appointment window works best for you and you will be scheduled.
