Whether it is a food drive or a donation drive, your collaborative efforts can make a huge difference! By sponsoring a drive at your school, church, workplace, or other organization, you are playing a part in the fight to end hunger in your community.
Food Drives
Food Drives are a great way to come together and collect needed items for Open Cupboard. One of the best ways to ensure that your food drive is a success, is to give people a list of what kinds of foods to collect. This will help bring direction to the drive and have the biggest impact for Open Cupboard.
You can find a list of our Most Needed Donations here.
Specialized Food Drives
Your Food Drive can also be specialized, where you collect only certain items. This can be a great time to collect Open Cupboard’s high-demand items like diapers/wipes or personal hygiene.
You can also make Birthday Bags–bags given out to kids during their birthday month. These are a great project for groups! You can find more information about Birthday Bags here.
Donation Drive
Donation Drives are a great way to help make your impact on our community go far! Financial donations make a big impact at Open Cupboard because we are able to obtain food from our partner food banks at a very low cost. With every $10 we receive, we can obtain approximately 100 pounds of food!
We can even help you customize a donation page specific to your drive!
If you have any questions or want to set up a food drive, you can contact donate@opencupboard.org or call 651-371-1130.
