Drive-up Market
Our Drive-Up Market (open on Thursdays and Fridays), provides fresh produce (e,g, potatoes, onions, carrots, apples are common items), meat, milk, eggs or cheese, and a few non-perishable food items. Personal care items, diapers, and pet food are available when we have them, but on no particular schedule.
- No appointment needed.
- No documentation needed.
- You will be asked for your income, but we will serve you regardless of your income.
- You will be asked for your address, but we are open to anyone in need of food, regardless of where you live.
- There is a registration process for this program. You can complete it carside with one of our volunteers, or to speed up your visit, you can register here before your first trip (registering in advance is NOT required, it’s just faster).
- You receive pre-packed boxes of food (Today’s Harvest allows you to choose your own food if this is an issue).
Hours and Location
Location: 8264 4th Street North, Oakdale, MN 55128
- Thursday 2 pm – 5 pm
- Friday 10 am – 2 pm
How it works
Our Drive-Up Service is located in the back of the building. You will need to use the cemetery road for our service. There is often a line, so please drive carefully through the parking lot and follow signage.
The first stop will be intake. Here our volunteers will ask about name, address, household size (how many children, adults, and seniors), and if the house is income eligible. We will serve you regardless of income. To speed up your visit, you can register here before your first trip (registering in advance is NOT required, it’s just faster).
Lastly, you will stop to have your food loaded into your vehicle. You will not get out of your car. Please make sure there is room in your car. Once everything is loaded, you can be on your way.
Can I pick up for others?
Yes! You are able to pick up food for someone else outside of your household. For every adult in the car, they are able to pick up for 2 households. You will need to know the other household’s information in order to pick up food for them.
What if I have no transportation?
- You can still receive food if transportation is an issue by having a friend or family member pick up for you. They will need to provide us with information about your household.
- If there is no one else that can pick up for you, within a 10 mile radius of Open Cupboard you can request a delivery. Food is delivered one time per month and replaces a visit to the Drive Up Market. More information is here.
